Presentation Description: Fisher (1984) argues humans are by nature storytelling beings. Despite this natural inclination toward stories, when it comes to providing evidence for an argument, narratives are often viewed with suspicion. This presentation will discuss the inherent power found in narrative evidence, while also cautioning speakers regarding the use of narratives as support material. Presentation by Leah White, Ph.D.
