Presentation Description: The modern day workplace is typically comprised of four generational cohorts: (1) Traditionalists, (2) Baby Boomers, (3) Gen Xers, and (4) Gen Y. Each of these generations is laden with its own language, historical experience, colloquialisms, and pop culture references. This presentation developed from a communication perspective grounded in generational cohort theory will focus on some of the most frequently reported (and arguably humorous) frustrations and misunderstandings among and between generations in the workplace.
