DESCRIPTION:The Spartanburg Writing Project will host it's annual Fall Ren
 ewal conference on Thursday, October 18, 2012. This year's event will foc
 us on implementing and assessing Common Core State Standards in reading, 
 writing and research across all disciplines.  Featuring an expert panel d
 iscussion including representatives from the SC State Department of Educa
 tion, along with concurrent workshop sessions led by local educators, thi
 s unique professional development event will help teachers achieve a bett
 er understanding of CCSS and provide them with tools and ideas for making
  the transition to CCSS more manageable.
