DESCRIPTION:The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Ca
 rolina Upstate will host its sixth annual “An Evening of Great Conversa
 tions” on Tuesday, October 16. This event showcases an elegant dinner i
 n downtown Spartanburg where diners select among 12 conversations of impo
 rtant topics. \nEach dinner table engages in a specific conversation, whi
 ch is facilitated by a faculty expert on the topic.  Table leaders includ
 e Fulbright Scholars, award-winning authors, technologists, social scient
 ists, and area-studies specialists.  The table conversations are extraord
 inarily interesting, and varied. This year’s list of topics includes:\n
